Happy to say the site has rolled over the 5000 link mark. Yeah!

I’ve had some changes done to the site. Mostly admin stuff to get rid of crap links in bulk so I don’t have to sort through them one by one. The mass edit tool is the bomb. I’ve recently implemented adsense again cause it would great to dig up a few pennies to fund improvements for the site. I received an offer to purchase the site but at this time I’m going to decline becuase it’s been my baby for a couple years now. I saw that the Alexa rank is now starting to pick up again and page views are increasing as well.

Regarding the Link Million shirts - I’ve had them designed and they look pretty cool. I ended up paying like 6 bucks each for them so will have to sell them for around $10 to make any kind of profit. I hope to have the tool available soon for people to purchase them if they have any interest. I’ll post a pic of what they look like in the next couple days.

So I keep getting emails from Directory rating sites asking me to put their logo on the bottom so I can track my directory rank against all the other directories. I put a couple logos in the bottom of the site but couldn’t stand the way they look so I immediately pulled them out. Sorry guys, this directory wil just have to live without.

Anyway, I see it’s been a little while since I’ve updated the blog here so felt it right to log in and write something.

Oh boy, I can’t keep up with the submissions.  Trying my hardest but for every 100 links I approve, another 200 links come in.  Because quality links are my biggest concern here, I’m dumping more than half of the links I get so sorry to all you PR0 or lower links.  Oh how life would be so much easier if folks would categorize their links properly.  Perhaps I need to talk with someone regarding mods to the script to help out on that.

Also, I’m considering bringing on some help to approve links.  If you’re interested in something like that let me know and we can talk.  I think it’s funny b/c I’m not even advertising the site anywhere - I wonder what would happen if I threw a couple bucks at advertising.

I’ve had a couple people email me and ask if I plan on implementing any rss features to the site…  I suppose I’m taking suggestions for what type of content you all would like to see, if any..   But for now my intentions are to keep the site clean.  Oh, fyi - on a trial basis i’m going to have a few t-shirts made and will be selling them on the site for $10.  Maybe someone wants to support the cause.  Maybe not..

Trying to play some major catch up on the site today. Over 6 thousand links pending right now, ugh… That’s about a month of links that I need to go through 1 by 1. I’ve noticed that the pr ranking on many of the new links has definitely jumped up in the past few months - Who knows what the hell that means. There is (1) jackass in particular that keeps spamming me with adult crap. Trust me, I’m not desperate and have no intentions of posting that junk so if you can hear me - “You’re wasting your time moron.”

Now that I’ve got that off my chest, back to work.
